The Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats will wrestle the Eastport- South Manor Sharks @ Shoreham-Wading River HS.
Friday 12/9/22 The event will start at 5:30 pm , the match begins at 5:45 pm.
We will honor Suffolk County Police Officer Tim Thrane . Tim Thrane wrestled for both Shoreham-Wading River and Eastport-South Manor during his high school career.
He is a Suffolk county police officer who has sacrificed and put himself at risk to help protect the community and keep our streets safe . He is married (Wife Janelle) and has 3 small children . On the night of 11/3/21 Officer Thrane was working at the scene of a motor vehicle accident , when he was struck by a drunk driver . He received life-threatening injuries and was administered last rites at the scene. His injuries included over 14 Broken bones and severe head trauma. In an extraordinary effort ,Police officers , paramedics, and firefighters rushed Officer Thrane to Stony Brook University Hospital just in time.
Tim Thrane endured multiple surgeries and had to be resuscitated numerous times. He was on life support and was in a coma for 1 month at Stony Brook Hospital. He has gone through months of rehabilitation at St Charles Hospital and hopes to one day return to his job as a Suffolk County Police officer. Tim Thrane has received support from his family, his fellow police officers, and the wrestling community. We are selling t shirts to this event to help Tim Thrane and his family with the massive financial burden they have had to endure. We hope to see a big crowd at the event to honor this Police Officer, who was injured in the line of duty.
All shirt orders must be placed by 11/22/2022 to have them in time for the event.

Shirt pickup will be 4 – 5:30pm the day of the event.
Possibly another day will be announced on the Facebook SWR WAC page for pickup prior to the event.
