Joe Condon

Varsity Coach – 20th Season
College: VCU BS, Florida State MS
As the sixth varsity coach in the history of the SWR Wrestling
program, Joe Condon has coached Varsity for the past 13 years. Under his
guidance the team recorded a program record 27 wins and finished the
2020 season ranked #3 in The New York State Sportswriters Final Ranking
Poll. During his tenure the Wildcats have won 4 League Titles and 1
Suffolk County Championship. Under his leadership many wildcat
wrestlers have succeeded in earning post season honors: 90 All-County
Wrestlers, 18 County Champions, 16 members of the Century Club (100
wins), 23 All-State Wrestlers, 5 NY State Champions, 18 All-Americans,
and 3 National Champions. Coach Condon currently has earned 220 dual
meet wins during his tenure at SWR.
Coach Condon attended/wrestled for SWR and was a 4 year varsity
starter/ team captain. He was a 3x league finalist, 2x Suffolk county
freestyle champion, and finished 2nd in NYS freestyle championships. He
wrestled for Coach Paul Jendrewski in middle school and for Coach Rocky
Davey in High School. His son Ryan was a 2x all league wrestler at SWR.
Coach Condon spent 7 years as an assistant Coach at Brentwood HS
under Bob Panariello.Coach Condon was the head Coach for the SWR Kid
wrestling program for 11 years. He also coached boys JV soccer at SWR
for 7 years, and Boys JV Golf at Brentwood for 8 years.

Coach Condon resides in Shoreham, NY with his wife Linda and 4 children
( Ryan, Gia, Ava, and Kya).
