Kevin Willi

Coach Willi enters his 6th season as Head Coach and 15th season as a part of the Shoreham Wading River Baseball Program. With Willi at the helm, the Wildcats have continued the record-breaking streak of 34 straight playoff appearances, 3 League Titles, a 2017 Suffolk County Championship and 3 players drafted in the MLB Draft.  Willi is a graduate of Longwood High School where he helped lead the Lions to the 1998 New York State Championship as a senior.  As a pitcher, shortstop and centerfielder, he was named their Most Valuable Player for 3 straight seasons.  Willi also earned three Varsity letters and two All-league Awards as a Middle Linebacker and Tight End for the Longwood Lions Football team. He was inducted into the Longwood Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. Coach Willi had an outstanding college baseball career at D1 Stony Brook University, where he played for Coach Matt Senk. He achieved All Conference honors as a pitcher for the Seawolves.  Willi has been a science teacher in the SWR Middle School for 18 years.​
